Bred in England in 1934 from a Canterbury Goldings and a wild hop cross, Northern Brewer has become an international variety grown extensively in Germany and the US. It provides a clean, neutral bitterness with a rustic woodsy and earthy aroma. A classic in steam beers and porters.
